Iskander Shadid joined Gilde in 2024 as part of the Therapeutics investment team. He is involved in deal sourcing, due diligence and portfolio management.

Prior to Gilde, Iskander worked as a PhD researcher at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, investigating maternal-fetal health with a focus on vitamin D pharmacokinetics.

He holds a master’s degree in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Business Studies from Leiden University.
