Rich joined Gilde Healthcare as Partner in 2023. He oversees deal origination, investment processes and portfolio management for healthtech investments in Gilde’s Venture&Growth fund.

He previously served for seven years as the Global Head of Ventures at Philips, where he was responsible for creating and running its venture program. During his time at Philips, Rich oversaw both a fund-of-funds strategy and a direct investment portfolio consisting of early to growth-stage healthtech start-ups.  Prior to this, Rich led digital and device investments for Partners Innovation Fund, the venture capital arm for Mass General Brigham Health System.

Rich graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Sciences.
