Position

Gilde Healthcare is looking for a (Senior) Associate to support the transatlantic Venture&Growth team in its Dutch Office.

The Venture&Growth fund of Gilde Healthcare invests in fast growing companies active in therapeutics, medtech and digital health, based in Europe and North America. The Venture&Growth team has offices in Utrecht, The Netherlands and Boston, United States.

In 2023, we have raised €740 million for our sixth Venture&Growth fund. This fund is targeting €10-60 million equity investments in privately-held and publicly-traded healthcare companies based in Europe and North America. We are looking for a (Senior) Associate to join our Utrecht team as a full time member of the Healthtech team, whereby HealthTech comprises medtech, digital health, diagnostics and lifesciences tools.

Position overview

In this (Senior) Associate role you will have the exciting opportunity to support the European based Venture&Growth team and play a key role in our healthtech investment franchise, covering medtech, digital health, diagnostics and lifesciences tools. As an integral member of the Gilde Healthcare investment team you will be involved in deal sourcing, analysis, due diligence, closing of new investments as well as in value creation and exits for existing portfolio companies.

We seek candidates with an educational background and/or work experience in medical innovations to apply, as this will enable you to effectively source deals, conduct due diligence on technologies and companies, and evaluate management teams of target companies.

Candidates should bring an eagerness to perform and the sincerity to be a credible investing professional to engage external contacts including industry experts,  (potential) portfolio companies and investors in the fund.

Responsibilities

  • As an integral member of the Gilde Healthcare investment team you will be involved in deal sourcing, analysis, due diligence, closing of new investments as well as in value creation and exits for existing portfolio companies.

Experience and education

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the healthtech industry, venture investment or in consulting.
  • Graduate degree in a medical, scientific or engineering discipline.
  • MBA: Considered a valuable asset, but not a mandatory requirement
  • Ideally, exposure to or a network in the investment scope of the fund including companies involved in:
    • digital health and personal health solutions.
    • medical technology including companies developing and/or commercializing image guided interventions, implantable devices and monitoring solutions.
    • diagnostics and lifescience tools.
  • Experience in performing qualitative and quantitative research, analyses, and modeling.

Compensation

A highly competitive compensation package, which includes base salary and a performance based bonus.
