Position

Gilde Healthcare is looking for an Analyst/Associate (0-4 years of working experience) to support the Private Equity team in the Dutch Office

Background on Gilde

Gilde Healthcare is a specialized healthcare investor managing over €2.6 billion across two fund strategies: Private Equity and Venture & Growth. The Private Equity franchise of Gilde Healthcare, which you will be part of, invests in profitable healthcare companies in North-Western Europe, with the aim of growing the business to the next level with our active support and buy & build strategies. The Private Equity investment focus covers a broad range of healthcare companies, such as CROs & CDMOs, specialized medical product businesses, Healthcare IT, specialty pharma, outsourcing services and healthcare clinics. Our mission is to invest in companies that enable better care at lower cost.

The Private Equity team has offices in Utrecht, The Netherlands and Frankfurt, Germany.

In 2022, we have raised over €500 million for our fourth Private Equity fund. We are continuously expanding our team to support our growing activities  and are therefore currently looking for an Analyst or Associate to join our Utrecht team.

Position overview

In your role as an Analyst or Associate , you will be based in Utrecht and support the Private Equity team with its investments across Europe. You will be involved in the full cycle of investing: from deal sourcing, target analysis and due diligence to supporting portfolio management and exit processes. All in close cooperation with the other members of our investment team.

Work experience as intern or analyst in investment banking, strategy consulting or private equity is required .

You are motivated by curiosity, which you satisfy through questioning, probing, inquiry, and investigation. You will be tasked to gather and assess the relevance and importance of data from disparate sources to arrive at cohesive and logical conclusions. Building strong trust-based relationships across different stakeholders in our ecosystem will be important for you to develop to the next level. Candidates should bring an eagerness to perform and a desire to have an impact on patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

  • Industry desk research and interviews with industry experts
  • Commercial, operational and financial analysis, modelling and due diligence of companies
  • Preparation and presentation of investment proposals for internal discussions
  • Analyze strategic growth opportunities and support our portfolio companies with initiatives like M&A, international expansion and large capital investments
  • Support various portfolio management activities including frequent interactions with management of our portfolio companies

Experience and education

  • Top of class graduate degree in business administration, economics, corporate law, medical or scientific disciplines
  • Prior experience as an intern or analyst in investment banking, strategy consulting or investments including performing qualitative and quantitative research, analyses, and modelling
  • Affinity for Gilde Healthcare’s investment scope and objectives
  • Fluent in written and spoken English plus ideally one of the following languages: Dutch, German, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, French

Compensation
